The new X-Base finally puts an end to the frustrating process of mounting and removing your baseplate before and after each session. No more struggling with cold, wet hands to loosen an overtightened base just to fit your board into the boardbag.
The X-Base connects securely to your board using two T-nut screws, ensuring a rock-solid, play-free attachment and precise, effortless adjustment without unwanted movement. Its removable tendon and pin unit can be detached in seconds – ideal for transport, storage, and maintenance. The narrow screw spacing guarantees full functionality even on boards with a short mast track. Our engineers worked a lot to achieve the lowest profile height on the market – minimizing the gap between sail and board (Close the Gap) and reducing the overall height inside your boardbag. The stainless-steel Dual U-Pin is resistant to sand, salt, and dirt, allowing quick separation or assembly of the base in seconds. The solid one-piece stainless steel pin and tendon cup provide unmatched strength and reliability, even under extreme loads.
A clever detail: the UXT version features an integrated Torx T30 tool built into the pin head: perfect for tightening your baseplate and all other T30 screws on your JP board, including fins, vent plugs, and footstraps. Never ruin a session again by forgetting your screwdriver! All edges and openings have been rounded and refined to eliminate sharp areas and protect your feet. The tendon joint uses a high-tech material, approximately 50% tougher and more durable than conventional black compounds, with an easily replaceable tendon and safety rope made from ultra-strong UHMWPE.
