With the Ultra 3, CARVED takes the legendary Union Ultra binding concept to the next level. The
system is built for maximum usability, hold, and adjustability – delivering a boot-like locked-in
feeling that’s almost impossible to achieve with a traditional pads-and-straps setup. The new
Reel Fit System lets you tighten and fine-tune the strap with just a few quick twists so it hugs
your foot precisely and stays that way. More control, more comfort, and faster adjustments –
straight from the beach to your next session.
- REEL FIT SYSTEM: quick and precise strap adjustment with a central dial
- SELF-CENTERING LACING: self-centering lacing system for even tension and balanced pressure distribution
- SETUP MARKING: visual marking for easily returning to your preferred setting
- ERGONOMIC FOOTBED: ergonomically optimized footbed for a natural and comfortable foot position
- PRONOUNCED TOE EDGE: pronounced toe edge for secure, defined hold
- OPEN HEEL AREA: targeted freedom of movement around the heel for natural foot movement
- UNION BASEPLATE: compatible with boards featuring 6" and 6.5" insert spacings, as well as track mounting systems
- VARIABLE STANCE POSITION: vertically adjustable baseplate for individual positioning on the board
- BOARD SAVER: EVA protective layer reduces the entry of sand and stones beneath the pad while protecting the board surface
- SAND & SALTWATER RESISTANT: sand- and saltwater-resistant RFS mechanism for reliable performance
- REPLACEABLE PADDING: quickly replaceable padding for adaptation to different foot sizes and summer/winter setups
*Based on experience, size S fits up to EU 43 without neoprene boots or up to EU 41 with neoprene boots. Size L fits from EU 41 without neoprene boots or from EU 39 with neoprene boots. Both sizes may be suitable within the overlap ranges. For the optimal fit, we recommend trying the pads and straps before purchase.
